Madison Construction provided general construction services for the Caroline Hedger Apartments, Chicago Housing Authority’s second largest building. This 450-unit high-rise was fully occupied during renovation. Madison provided ADA-compliant upgrades for the entire building and site improvements include a new parking lot, new lighting and a recreation area. In addition, adaptive re-use construction was performed expanding and fully rehabbing the ground floor. Additionally, a penthouse attic on top of the main building with a new chiller was added. A new perimeter raceway was added at the roof level to allow the installation of the new 4-pipe heating and cooling system.
